Aero 111 and GP 5000 pair up for race day
This Tour de France Limited Edition set pairs the Aero 111 up front with the Grand Prix 5000 S TR in back, built as a deliberate front and rear split rather than two tires that happen to share a box. The Aero 111's tread is shaped to cut aerodynamic drag, while the Grand Prix 5000 S TR carries the grip and puncture resistance the GP 5000 family built its reputation on. Both tires share Continental's BlackChili compound for low rolling resistance and grip, backed by a Vectran breaker layer that guards against punctures. This release also marks the first time the Aero 111 comes in a transparent sidewall.
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The transparent sidewalls caught my eye before I'd even mounted them, but what stuck with me was hitting an exposed, windy stretch and feeling the front end stay planted instead of getting pushed around. The rear held its line through some sketchy pavement transitions without a single flat all day."
