Fast gravel capability meets versatility in the Áspero Apex XPLR Gravel Bike
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
“I reach for this build when I want a gravel bike that’s quick on smooth dirt but still stable when the route gets rough. The mechanical Apex XPLR drivetrain is simple and dependable, and the Trail Mixer fork keeps handling dialed whether you're running 700c wheels or experimenting with 650b. It’s a fast gravel platform that still leaves room for bigger tires and long adventure rides.”
When we want a gravel bike that thrives on speed but doesn’t shy away from unpredictable terrain, we reach for the Cervélo Áspero Apex XPLR Gravel Bike. Built on Cervélo’s race-inspired gravel platform, this bike delivers quick acceleration and confident handling whether we’re hammering across hardpack roads, chasing sunrise miles, or linking quiet backroads into long mixed-surface loops.
The carbon Áspero frame pairs dropped seat stays with internal routing and a threaded T47 BBright bottom bracket to balance stiffness, durability, and ride compliance. Cervélo’s Trail Mixer fork keeps the steering consistent when swapping between 700c and 650b wheels, giving us flexibility to tailor tire volume and ride feel to the terrain ahead. A SRAM Apex XPLR 1×12 drivetrain keeps shifting reliable and straightforward with wide-range gearing for rolling gravel climbs and long valley stretches, while hydraulic disc brakes deliver dependable stopping power in changing conditions. Tubeless-ready Alexrims GX7 wheels wrapped in WTB Vulpine tires keep the ride fast and efficient, and the Smartpak top-tube storage adds convenient space for nutrition or small ride essentials.
Heads up ‑ We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning—and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double‑check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.
