Gray Yoga Props & Towels

For hot, sweaty practices prioritize microfiber suede towels that wick moisture and improve grip when damp. Full mat towels about 24 by 72 inches give maximum coverage, and models like the Manduka hot yoga towels are engineered for superior moisture management.

Most full mat towels are made to cover standard mats around 24 by 72 inches, but check the geometry since some have rounded edges. Look for non-slip features like silicone nubs to keep the towel aligned on the mat during flow.

Blocks, typically around 9 by 6 by 4 inches, provide lift and support to maintain alignment in standing and seated postures. Straps, available in cotton, hemp, or buckled nylon and often 6 to 10 feet long, help you lengthen and hold stretches safely for restorative work.

Travel or beach-style multi-use towels like the Rumpl Tech Towel are thin, packable, and often dry in 1-2 hours, making them great for travel and light practices. For sweaty studio hot classes you may prefer a full mat microfiber towel with higher absorbency and silicone nubs for grip.

Machine-washable microfiber towels retain moisture-wicking performance when laundered regularly and can dry in about 1-2 hours. Also check durability claims—many towels withstand 500+ washes—or look for OEKO-TEX certification to avoid harsh finishes that reduce grip.
