Women's Orange Ski & Snowboard Pants

Insulated pants provide built-in warmth for cold resort and all-mountain days, while shell pants excel when layering controls temperature for touring or spring slush. Shells in 3-layer ePE Gore-Tex or 80D nylon with at least 10,000mm waterproofing let you add or remove midlayers to match conditions.

For carving groomers, a slim, athletic cut that sits shorter at the ankle offers better control and precise turns; for freeride and powder, baggier snowboard styles allow unrestricted bending and frequent sitting. Regular fits sit mid-calf over boots, so look for articulated knees, gussets, and zippered cuffs to keep mobility and boot compatibility.

Waterproofing matters most in wet conditions, so aim for pants rated at least 10,000mm with taped seams and breathable ratings around 10,000g to keep moisture out while shedding sweat. Materials and construction like 3-layer ePE Gore-Tex, 80D nylon, reinforced knees, scuff guards, and seam sealing all help durability in powder and slushy spring days.

Yes. Thigh vents (inner or outer with mesh) help dump heat on uphill tours while gaiters and zippered cuffs keep snow out at the boot, making multi-hour outings more comfortable. Models like the Outdoor Research Snowcrew combine generous vents with cozy lining and carabiner clips for convenient on-the-go adjustments.

Bibs are ideal in deep snow or extended backcountry outings because they provide a higher seal against powder ingress and full torso coverage for colder, wetter conditions. If you prefer technical pant options, items like the Black Diamond Recon Stretch Pant add RECCO, gussets, and velcro tabs for backcountry use, but a bib still offers the best protection in steep, deep terrain.
