Women's White Ski Pants & Bibs

Insulated pants are best for cold resort days and frigid conditions since they trap body heat; models with roughly 60g of synthetic fill, like the REI Powderbound, give warmth without bulky layering. Hardshells with Gore-Tex 3L or similar membranes perform better in wet, stormy weather when waterproofing is the priority.

Bibs are ideal for deep powder and high-speed freeride because full suspenders and higher rise keep snow out and jacket overlap secure. Models such as the TREW Gear W Capow Bib and many Flylow bibs add reinforced panels and longer coverage specifically for those conditions.

Start by checking inseam options—many pants list lengths from 29 to 34 inches—so choose one that clears your boot without dragging. Also factor in rise and fit type (athletic, relaxed, regular) and confirm boot gaiters and articulated knees allow comfortable movement with layers.

For uphill touring prioritize breathability over maximum waterproofing and aim for breathability above 15,000 g/m2/24hrs to move moisture on skin-side. A 3-layer Gore-Tex ePE or HellyTech 2L shell with 20,000–30,000mm waterproofing provides a practical balance of protection and weight for backcountry travel.

Durability often comes from fully taped seams, reinforced knees and cuffs, and double-fabric panels that resist abrasion. Practical on-snow features like scuff guards, kickpatches, double thigh vents, and an avalanche beacon pocket add function, and beefy builds like Mountain Hardwear's Boundary Ridge bibs emphasize long-term toughness.
