Women's Purple Gloves & Mittens

Think about the activity and how much finger mobility you need — gloves are best for skiing, climbing, or biking when you need precise grip, while mittens sacrifice dexterity for maximum warmth. Mittens often pair with 100–200g insulation and a looser fit that traps heat for backcountry or extreme winter conditions.

For wet snow and resort laps, prioritize a reliable waterproof membrane like Gore-Tex and a DWR-treated shell to keep moisture out. Breathability ratings up to 15,000 g/m2/24hrs help manage sweat, and models using BD.Dry or recycled polyester often include touchscreen liners for added versatility.

Try on gloves with your hand shape in mind and reference women's-specific geometry and sizes that run XS–XXL for the best fit. Gauntlet cuffs give extra snow coverage for downhill days, while short cuffs are better for layering and casual winter use; articulated patterns and pre-curved fingers improve comfort and grip.

Touchscreen liners and ergo-grip palms make it much easier to operate your phone and handle poles without exposing bare skin. Look for thin liner options or five-finger ergo designs when you want both on-the-go warmth and precise dexterity.

Leather styles like deerskin or goat suede with reinforced palms stand up well to rope abrasion and repeated use, and fleece or wool blends add comfortable insulation. Hestra’s long-standing leather construction and gauntlet cuffs with wrist leashes are examples of durable builds you can rely on season after season.
