Women's Blue Fly Fishing Shirts

Look for a tailored, women's-specific cut that's trimmer through the waist with spacious armholes, radial sleeves, and a pleated or yoked back for freedom when casting. That fit keeps fabric from bunching while you reach and net fish.

Many sun shirts advertise UPF 30+ while several achieve UPF 50+; Patagonia lightweight hooded sun shirts are an example of high UPF and breathability. Pair UPF coverage with mesh venting and moisture-wicking fabric for long days on bright water.

Polyester-nylon blends with a touch of spandex deliver quick-dry performance and stretch; many pieces dry in under an hour and resist wrinkles. Mesh panels and moisture-wicking finishes improve breathability on hot summer days.

Shirts with zippered chest pockets, D-rings, and roll-up sleeves keep sunglasses, tippet, and tools within reach; some Navillus Apparel styles add large cargo pockets and durable pearl snaps. A hidden microfiber cloth in the hem is handy for lens cleaning between casts.

Opt for a mid-layer with merino wool or synthetic insulation on cold river days because those fabrics provide warmth, stretch, and water resistance for winter casting. Switch to a lightweight sun shirt for summer trips where UPF 30+ to 50+, breathability, and quick-dry fabric matter more.
