Men's Green Snowboard Pants & Bibs

Bibs are usually the better choice in deep powder because their suspender-style fit gives more torso coverage and helps prevent snow ingress. Models like the Mammut Haldigrat HS Bib are designed for storm resistance and non-restrictive torso coverage, which is handy on big days.

If you ride in cold, stormy conditions regularly, look for insulated bibs or pants with synthetic fill in the 40–120g range to keep warmth without bulk. Insulated styles paired with a Gore-Tex or PTX membrane combine weather protection and warmth for long days in bad weather.

Think about whether you want an athletic, close-hug fit for mobility or a relaxed cut that allows room for midlayers; sizes run from XS–XXL with short and tall inseam options. Pay attention to knee articulation, seat gussets, and stretch panels so you get a full range of motion without riding up.

They can be — touring pants and bibs are built for lightweight mobility, often weighing around 1–2 lbs uninsulated, which makes a big difference on long approaches. The Flylow Baker PhD Bib is an example of a Gore-Tex touring-friendly option that balances low weight with weather protection.

For wet, active days choose pants with higher ratings like 20K–30K waterproof and 15K–30K breathability to keep moisture out while letting sweat escape. Pair those ratings with a Gore-Tex 2L/3L or Pro membrane and fully taped seams—styles such as the Burton AK 2L Gore-Tex Cyclic Pants emphasize that combination for durability.
