For dress or formal shoes, insert cedar shoe trees after each wear to preserve shape and absorb moisture. Add a leather polish or Saphir-compatible cream a few times a month to clean scuffs and keep the finish looking sharp.

Match insole length to your shoe size and pick cushion thickness based on how much padding you need; 5–10mm is common for added comfort. If you need extra support, select medium or high arch options and consider sustainable Think! insoles for long hours on your feet.

When wet weather or mud is likely, use a waterproofing spray or a leather-compatible cream formulated to resist rain and soil. Premium care kits like Crockett & Jones that include Saphir Medaille d'or often use pH-neutral formulas to protect leather without dulling the finish.

If you prefer standing assistance and reach, a 25-inch shoehorn provides extra leverage, while a 15-inch handle is convenient for at-home use. Travel versions under 10 inches pack easily, and luxury options like Gentleman's Gazette horn shoehorns offer durable materials with ergonomic handles.

Measure your shoe size and choose a full, half, or split shoe tree that matches the last shape; many options fit US sizes 7–13. Cedar absorbs moisture and helps with odor control, while beech is a durable alternative for repeated daily use.
