Men's Gray Crewneck Sweatshirts

If you plan to layer, midweight fleece (about 8–12 oz) makes a cozy insulating layer for 40–60°F conditions, while performance merino blends can extend warmth toward 20°F. Pick a fleece-lined or garment-dyed crew with wider ribbing on the cuffs and hem to hold heat and resist distortion.

Aim for a close-but-not-tight neck and a fit that allows room in the arms and torso for layering; crewnecks come in regular, relaxed, or slim fits and sizes from XS to 3XL. Dropped shoulders and longer hemlines help with mobility and untucked wear, while ribbed cuffs and hems keep the sweater from riding up.

Standard cotton fleece is ideal for lounging or cool-weather errands, French terry works well for active use like gym sessions or hikes in 50–70°F, and lightweight cotton-blends suit everyday wear or semi-formal layering. Models like the Champion Powerblend fleece emphasize wider ribbing and shrink-resistant poly blends for durability during repeated activity.

Look for pre-shrunk fabrics, anti-pilling treatments, and construction details such as double stitching and cross-grain builds, which all help garments keep their shape. A common durable option is an 82/18 cotton-poly blend with garment-dyed finishes and wider ribbing at the neck and waist.

Performance crews with merino blends offer thermal regulation and four-way stretch that help during active cold-weather outings, and some merino models are rated down to about 20°F. They also often include moisture-wicking and anti-static treatments, so a Lululemon merino wool crew can be a good pick if you need breathable warmth on the move.
