Kids Red' Goggles & Helmets

Measure your child's head and match it to size options like XS, S, S/M, M or L/XL, which roughly cover ages 2–14. Helmets certified to EN 1077 should fit snugly with no gaps at the nose or temples and have adjustable straps to prevent pressure.

Yes — OTG models have deeper face foam and extra frame room designed to accommodate prescription glasses, which helps prevent pinching. Try OTG styles in the correct size and check that the foam seals around the temples while leaving space for the glasses.

Photochromic lenses are a great choice because they automatically adapt VLT from about 10–75%, while category 3 lenses work well for variable light throughout the day. Look for polycarbonate lenses that also offer 100% UVA/UVB protection and soft face foam for comfort.

MIPS-lined helmets reduce rotational forces in certain impacts and can add a layer of protection for young skiers and snowboarders learning the sport. Models like the Giro Chico 2.0 combine MIPS with an impact-resistant shell and EN 1077 certification for dependable performance.

Check that the helmet rim and goggle top align so the goggle sits flush against the helmet; adjustable straps and smaller geometry sizes (XS–S) help achieve a gap-free seal. Trying combinations like Burton youth helmets with compatible goggles and feeling for even pressure around the temples and nose will tell you if the fit is right.
