Kids Gray' Gloves & Mittens

Mittens trap warm air in shared finger pockets for maximum warmth, which is great for sub-zero play though it limits fine grip. Gloves with pre-curved fingers and reinforced PU leather palms give better dexterity, while mitten models like the Hestra Army Leather Heli Ski Jr. Mitt use goat leather and Primaloft for durable warmth.

Kids' gloves should fit snugly without bulk to preserve dexterity, and most brands use size ranges like XS to L for ages 2–12. Consider pre-curved finger shaping for better hand posture and decide between over-cuff styles to keep snow out or under-cuff models that tuck into jackets.

Waterproof membranes such as GORE-TEX are very helpful in wet snow and skiing because they provide guaranteed waterproofness and windproofing. Look for waterproof ratings above 5,000mm and breathability over 5,000g/m2/24hrs—models like the Burton Kids' GORE-TEX Gloves combine that protection with touchscreen tech.

Yes. Touchscreen-compatible gloves have conductive material on the fingertips so kids can use phones or tablets without removing their gloves, which is handy for school or casual use. Heavy insulation or wet conditions can reduce conductivity, so these models are best for everyday winter tech use rather than constant wet backcountry exposure.

Liners make sense for high-output kids because they add a moisture-wicking base layer without bulk and slide easily under shell gloves for hiking or running. For colder, low-movement days pick insulated mittens with weights like 100g PrimaLoft Gold or cozy fleece shells—Marmot Glade Mitts are a good all-around example.
