Kids Green' Bike Helmets

Toddlers benefit from low-profile designs with extra rear and side coverage to support balance development, while all-around helmets work well for neighborhood rides. Reserve full-face or removable-chin-bar models for technical trail use where extra chin protection is needed.

Measure your child’s head in centimeters and aim for a size within the 44–54 cm range that matches the helmet; toddler sizes sit lower on the head. The helmet should sit level, not tilted, and the dual adjustment systems at the crown and around the ears help keep a secure, comfortable fit as they grow.

Look for in-mold construction where the foam and hard polycarbonate shell fuse together for strength, paired with an EPS foam liner for impact absorption. Many models include 15 to 17 large air vents to improve airflow, and removable washable liners add hygiene and comfort.

Yes — dual-certified helmets carry both CPSC and ASTM stickers so they meet bike and skateboard standards, making them a good pick for kids who do both activities. Models like the Thousand Jr. are noted for that dual certification and retro styling while offering reliable protection.

Choose helmets designed for higher-speed electric-bike use that meet the NTA-8776 standard and often include reinforced shell construction and rotational protection. The Ozmo Sidekick is an example with NTA-8776 certification and integrated MIPS, giving extra coverage for passenger or fast-ride scenarios.
