Girls' Snowboard Jackets

For cold, snowy days choose insulated or down jackets with roughly 100–200g of fill or models rated around 8–10/10 for warmth. O'Neill ski-snowboard styles and other insulated shells use weather-resistant nylon and DWR finishes to keep kids cozy on the lift.

Most junior jackets run to chest measurements between 24–36 inches, so check the size chart and leave room for a fleece midlayer. Look for regular to athletic cuts with articulated sleeves and a shorter torso so she can lift her arms freely while riding.

A 10K waterproof/breathability rating handles light snow and slushy resort days, while 15K–20K gives better protection for heavier, wetter conditions. Also prioritize taped seams, a DWR-treated polyester or nylon shell, and critical seam sealing to keep moisture out.

Powder skirts, grow cuffs, and reinforced cuffs are key to preventing snow from getting in and letting the jacket grow with your child. Durable YKK zippers, pit zips for breathability, and bluesign-approved fabrics add longevity and dependable performance.

Go with 686 if you want bold patterns and higher protection—many 686 girls' jackets offer around 15K waterproofing for varied resort use. Level Nine insulated models, often at 10K ratings, make a practical choice for everyday riding and reliable warmth.
