Girls' Pink Casual Jackets

Measure your child’s chest and compare it to the size chart, allowing about 2–3 inches (5–8 cm) of extra room for a base layer or thin fleece. If she’s between sizes, sizing up gives more layering options and longer wear across seasons.

Lightweight polyester shells with a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish and a soft fleece lining balance warmth and moisture resistance. The North Face-style fleeces and polyester shells are easy to layer and dry quickly after damp conditions.

For everyday use, packable puffers and softshell jackets offer warmth without bulk, while a shell with zippered pockets keeps small items secure during travel. Columbia-style puffers compress for backpacks, and softshells handle playground wind and light drizzle well.

Turn zippers and fasten closures before a cold-machine wash with mild detergent, then tumble-dry low or air-dry to preserve insulation and finishes. Avoid fabric softeners and treat stains promptly to prevent set-in marks on polyester or fleece fabrics.

If you expect wind and light drizzle, a hooded jacket with an adjustable or packable hood gives better coverage and protection. Collar-style jackets can be more comfortable for layering under backpacks and work well on mild, breezy days when a hood isn’t needed.
