Blue Enduro Full Suspension Bikes

Smaller 27.5-inch wheels give quicker handling in tight, technical sections while 29-inch wheels roll faster over roots and rocks and carry speed on long climbs. A mullet setup (29 front / 27.5 rear) blends front-end rollover with rear agility so you get both stability and nimbleness depending on trail demands.

For big hits and steep, gnarly terrain aim for long-travel setups—typically 160–180mm up front and 150–170mm in the rear. Race-focused models like the Yeti SB160 (around 160mm front travel) balance downhill control with enough pedaling efficiency for long climbs.

Start with your height and inseam to ensure proper standover clearance and a comfortable reach; many large bikes offer reach near 480mm to center you for control. Also consider steeper seat tube angles (around 76–78 degrees) for better climbing position while keeping a slacker 63–65 degree head angle for downhill stability.

Carbon is a good choice if you want a lightweight, stiff frame that still helps damp vibration on long descents and withstands high-impact riding. Pro-level carbon bikes like the Canyon Strive CFR show how a well-executed carbon frame can improve efficiency and responsiveness on big mountain lines.

High-pivot layouts smooth rear-wheel movement and reduce pedal-induced bob, which helps maintain traction and composure on rough tracks. Mullet setups and high-pivot bikes have dominated recent podiums because the 29-inch front with a 27.5-inch rear offers a great compromise between rollover ability and rear-end agility.
