Boys' Blue Snowboard Pants & Bibs

Bibs are best for deep powder and high-wind days because the suspender-style, over-the-shoulder coverage extends higher on the chest and back to prevent snow and wind ingress. Pants sit at the waist and are better for milder conditions or active kids who run warm since they offer more breathability for shorter slope sessions.

For resort days, 10K–15K breathability and a 15K waterproof rating strike a good balance between wet-weather protection and moisture control. Models like the Burton Kids' Skylar 2L Bib Pants pair 15K waterproofing with 2-layer construction to keep kids dry without adding too much bulk.

Follow the brand size chart but allow extra room for growth; sizes commonly span toddler 2T–7 and kids XS–XXL (18/20), with some listings showing a 2–8 option for additional room. Adjustable features such as convertible suspenders and articulated knees help the garment fit longer through growth spurts.

Insulated bibs with 100–200g polyester fill or 200g recycled insulation (as found on some REI Co-op bibs) provide reliable warmth for long, cold days on the hill. Shells prioritize breathability and pair best with layering when kids tend to overheat or for shorter, active sessions.

Look for fully taped seams, Cordura-reinforced hems or knees, and reinforced inner ankles to stand up to repeated falls and boot abrasion. Comfort comes from articulated knees, 4-way stretch panels, grippy snow cuffs, and useful extras like secure zippered pockets and D-rings for lift passes.
