Ultrafear Snowboard absorbs hard landings on a retro shape
The Ultrafear Snowboard brings back its original shape with a Cork Edge Dampening System built for the impact of real rail and jump landings. A 1.5mm cork layer sits between the steel edge and ABS sidewall, absorbing blunt-force hits without adding the weight rubber dampening would. Tip-to-tail Carbon Boosters woven directly into the fiberglass add pop through the whole board, while a Resort V1 camber profile blends the response of traditional camber with the forgiving turn initiation of a reverse-camber shape.
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I land hard on a rail expecting a retro shape to rattle underfoot, and the cork absorbs it instead. The camber still pops off a jump the way I want, so bringing back an old shape didn't mean giving up a modern ride."

Phantom Glide By DPS Skis
This snowboard is compatible with Phantom Glide, the long-lasting base treatment from DPS Skis. Backcountry technicians apply and UV-cure it before the board ships, so it arrives ready to ride with no waxing needed.
How It Works

Applied By Backcountry Techs
Backcountry technicians treat and UV-cure every board in the shop before it leaves the warehouse, so it arrives ready to ride with no setup required.

Glide That Outlasts Wax
Wax sits on top of the base and wears off in a few days. Phantom Glide bonds into the base, so glide stays fast and consistent from cold powder to spring slush.

No More Wax Days
Phantom Glide replaces scraping, ironing, and shop visits with a quick base cleaning using the Phantom Glide Base Care Kit. The formula is made without PFAS.

Frequently Asked Questions
How should I choose a size for the CAPiTA Ultrafear Snowboard 2027?
Choose from the size chart using rider weight and boot size, with height as a secondary factor. A shorter option within your recommended range feels more maneuverable for park riding, while a longer option adds stability; choose a wide model if standard widths would leave excessive toe or heel overhang. What conditions and riding suit the CAPiTA Ultrafear Snowboard?
Its true-twin shape and Resort V1 profile make it well suited to switch riding, rails, jumps, and varied resort freestyle laps. The hybrid camber blends responsive turns with more forgiving turn initiation, while the shape favors freestyle versatility over deep-powder flotation or dedicated freeride stability. How does the CAPiTA Ultrafear compare with a directional freeride board?
The Ultrafear’s twin shape is designed for a balanced feel in either direction, making it a natural fit for park laps and freestyle riding. Compared with a directional freeride shape, it prioritizes switch performance and playful maneuverability over powder flotation and high-speed directional stability. What bindings fit the CAPiTA Ultrafear Snowboard 2027?
The board’s 2x4 insert pattern fits most conventional snowboard bindings. Pair it with snowboard-specific boots and bindings, and center your stance for balanced twin-board performance. How should I care for the CAPiTA Ultrafear’s base and edges?
Wax the sintered base regularly, especially before dry or abrasive snow, and tune the edges to suit your mix of park and all-mountain riding. Dry the board after each session; for long-term storage, keep it clean and unwaxed in a cool, dry place, then hot-wax it before riding again.
