Edge hold and float meet in the Mercury snowboard
The Capita Mercury snowboard raises the camber platform through the inserts to hold a high-speed edge across variable terrain, then lifts the contact points near the nose and tail to float through powder and lets Flat Kick arcs speed up transitions between the two. A Hover Core reinforced with localized carbon-flax tape keeps the board light and damp without adding chatter, so the ride stays composed whether it's carving a groomer or landing off a side hit. That combination is what lets one directional board move between genuinely different conditions instead of favoring one at the expense of the others.
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I rode a fast groomer straight into a foot of fresh snow without changing my stance, and the board just kept doing its job in both. That kind of range in one directional shape is what tells me the camber and float zones aren't fighting each other, they're built to hand off."

Phantom Glide By DPS Skis
This snowboard is compatible with Phantom Glide, the long-lasting base treatment from DPS Skis. Backcountry technicians apply and UV-cure it before the board ships, so it arrives ready to ride with no waxing needed.
How It Works

Applied By Backcountry Techs
Backcountry technicians treat and UV-cure every board in the shop before it leaves the warehouse, so it arrives ready to ride with no setup required.

Glide That Outlasts Wax
Wax sits on top of the base and wears off in a few days. Phantom Glide bonds into the base, so glide stays fast and consistent from cold powder to spring slush.

No More Wax Days
Phantom Glide replaces scraping, ironing, and shop visits with a quick base cleaning using the Phantom Glide Base Care Kit. The formula is made without PFAS.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the CAPiTA Mercury 2027 handle groomers and powder?
Its Resort V2 Directional profile combines raised camber through the inserts with elevated contact points for edge hold and powder float. The directional shape has 0.5in taper, balancing freeride handling with resort versatility. How should I choose a length for the CAPiTA Mercury snowboard?
Choose from 147–162cm based on rider weight, boot size, and riding style: a shorter length favors maneuverability in tighter terrain, while a longer length adds stability at speed and in powder. The available lengths include 147, 150, 153, 155, 157, 159, and 161cm, plus wide sizes.Which CAPiTA Mercury size suits larger snowboard boots?
The wide options have waist widths from 261mm to 267mm, adding clearance for larger boots and helping reduce toe and heel drag. For example, the 160cm wide measures 265mm at the waist; choose width based on boot size rather than height alone.Which bindings fit the CAPiTA Mercury 2027?
The Mercury uses a 2x4 insert pattern and pairs with standard 2x4-compatible snowboard bindings. Set stance to suit your riding, using the board’s 0.5in setback as the directional reference. What flex and construction does the CAPiTA Mercury offer?
It has a directional flex rated 6.5 out of 10 on CAPiTA’s scale, with Triax, Biax, and Bio-Resin laminate construction. This combination suits riders looking for a responsive all-mountain board for resort riding, freeride terrain, and powder.
