Herschel Supply Hike & Camp

Frequently Asked Questions

• How does the Little America 25L compare to the Kaslo 30L Tech and Classic XL for hiking and travel?

The Little America 25L is an alpine-inspired daypack with a 25L capacity and a roomy main compartment suited to day hikes and everyday carry, while the Kaslo 30L Tech offers a slightly larger 30L capacity with tech-focused organization for gear and electronics. The Classic XL prioritizes maximum storage for weekend travel or multi-day use, with the same ergonomic padded straps and durable construction shared across the line. Choose Little America for streamlined day use, Kaslo Tech when you need extra organization, and Classic XL when capacity is the main priority.
• How water-resistant and durable are Herschel hike & camp backpacks like the Little America and Kaslo Tech?

Many Herschel hike & camp styles use a 100% recycled polyester double-ripstop in All Season finishes that are water-repellent and wind-resistant, plus a tear-resistant base for rough terrain. Lighter Ultralight styles feature a water-repellent ripstop finish, and surf/travel bags use a water-resistant tarpaulin liner for added protection against moisture.
• Which Herschel backpack capacity is best for day hikes versus overnight camping?

For single-day hikes or commutes, the Little America 25L gives enough room for layers, snacks, and essentials while staying compact and comfortable. For overnight or weekend trips, the Kaslo 30L Tech or Classic XL provide extra volume and organizational pockets to carry shelter, extra clothing, and gear. Consider how much layering and equipment you pack—if you use bulky cold‑weather layers or carry extra technical gear, opt for the larger 30L or XL options.
• Are Herschel hike & camp packs suitable for snowboarding and rough outdoor use?

Yes, many models include protective foam padding in key areas and durable construction designed to withstand travel and rugged outdoor conditions, making them usable for snowboarding and alpine activities. Combined with multi-functional storage and roomy compartments, they accommodate outerwear, goggles, and other board-related gear, though for specialized board carry you may want to confirm model-specific attachment options.
