Giro Snowboard

Frequently Asked Questions

• How do I choose the right Giro goggle model and lens for variable light on the mountain?

Pick a frame size that matches your face and helmet — models like Article II and Lusi suit small/medium faces while Contact and Contour offer larger/XL fits — then match lens material and tint to conditions. Choose VIVID by Zeiss optics (available on models such as the Comp and Revolt) for contrast enhancement in mixed light, and opt for quick-change systems like Comp’s Snap-Shot if you plan to swap lenses frequently.
• How does the Giro Revolt compare to the Giro Comp goggles?

The Revolt leans toward a retro, large-frame cylindrical silhouette that gives broad field of view and a bold fit, while the Comp pairs that wide vision with VIVID optics and a Snap-Shot quick-lens-change system for faster on-hill swaps. If you prioritize vintage styling and a roomy fit go Revolt; if optical clarity and tool-free lens changes are key, the Comp is the better match.
• How should Giro helmets and goggles be sized to ensure a seamless fit and minimize fogging?

Start with Giro’s size charts and try on helmet models with your chosen goggle — the Combyn’s Fit Kit Pad System lets you fine-tune internal fit while lens/frame size (Article II, Contour, Contact, etc.) determines seal and peripheral coverage. Proper pairing should leave minimal gaps between goggle foam and helmet brow, allow helmet vent alignment with goggle EVAK venting, and avoid frame pressure points that break the seal.
• What ventilation and anti-fog technologies do Giro helmets and goggles use, and how do they perform in active riding?

Giro helmets use Super Cool Vents and Stack Ventilation to promote passive airflow through the shell, which helps shed heat during hard efforts, while goggles employ EVAK Vent Technology to release moisture and reduce fogging. Combined with EXV/EXV+ expansion-view designs that increase peripheral clearance, these systems work together to manage airflow and keep optics clear during high- and low-energy snowboarding sessions.
