Armada Hike & Camp

Frequently Asked Questions

• How do Armada Locator skis perform for uphill skinning vs. downhill in variable deep snow?

Locator-series skis are built as ultralight touring tools with rocker tails and lower-camber pockets to reduce swing weight for skinning while retaining camber underfoot for edge grip. Their construction and longer turn radius help them track efficiently on the climb and provide stability and float in variable or deeper snow on the descent.
• What materials and construction details in Armada hike-and-camp apparel help in changing weather conditions?

Armada’s hike and camp apparel uses durable, weather-resistant fabrics with taped seams and reinforced panels to stand up to abrasion and precipitation, while breathable face fabrics and venting keep moisture management in check during exertion. Look for articulated patterns, durable zippers, and lightweight insulation options that balance packability with protection for multi-day backcountry use.
