The Corvus Ski was built for long arcs and high speeds
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I rode the Corvus Ski on a wide open powder face where I could really open up my turns, and the 25-meter radius held a locked-in arc the entire way down. The stiffer poplar and beech core gave it real authority once I started pushing speed, without ever feeling harsh underfoot."
Black Crows rebuilt the Corvus Ski to be a true big mountain weapon for the skier who wants to go fast and mean it. A 110mm waist gives it strong float through deep snow, while a 25-meter turn radius produces long, drawn-out arcs that feel locked in rather than forced, the kind of turn that rewards committed, high-speed skiing on open faces and powder fields. Straight running lines paired with a double rocker profile still let the ski pivot and smear when technical terrain calls for it, but its real home is wide open terrain skied with intent.
A poplar and beech wood core gives the Corvus Ski more power and stiffness than the lighter cores found elsewhere in the Black Crows lineup, while fiberglass laminates and a single titanal plate underfoot add the damping and edge stability needed to hold that speed. Semi-cap construction with ABS sidewalls keeps power transfer direct and edge feel honest, and a flex that's solid underfoot but progressive through the tip and tail strikes a balance between authority and forgiveness when the terrain gets rough.

Black Crows For the Joy of the Turn
Black Crows was founded in 2006 in Chamonix by pro skiers Bruno Compagnet and Camille Jaccoux, who set out to build the freeride ski they couldn’t find. Their first model, the Corvus, charged steep alpine faces with power and playfulness. Today, the brand blends French style, clean design, and a love of skiing to inspire confidence and joy on snow.

Phantom Glide By DPS Skis
This ski is compatible with Phantom Glide, the long-lasting base treatment from DPS Skis. Backcountry technicians apply and UV-cure it before the skis ship, so they arrive ready to ride with no waxing needed.
How It Works

Applied By Backcountry Techs
Backcountry technicians treat and UV-cure every pair in the shop before it leaves the warehouse, so the skis arrive ready to ride with no setup required.

Glide That Outlasts Wax
Wax sits on top of the base and wears off in a few days. Phantom Glide bonds into the base, so glide stays fast and consistent from cold powder to spring slush.

No More Wax Days
Phantom Glide replaces scraping, ironing, and shop visits with a quick base cleaning using the Phantom Glide Base Care Kit. The formula is made without PFAS.

Mounted And Ready To Go
When skis, bindings, and boots are purchased together, a Gearhead Expert mounts the bindings before the order ships.

Frequently Asked Questions
How should I choose a length for the Black Crows Corvus Ski - 2027?
Choose based on your height and weight, ability, and the terrain and speed you favor. A shorter length prioritizes easier turn initiation and maneuverability, while a longer length favors stability and support in fast, open terrain. What conditions suit the Black Crows Corvus Ski - 2027 best?
Its 110 mm waist, double-rocker profile, and stable construction suit powder, soft snow, steep couloirs, and aggressive off-piste skiing. Camber underfoot and a 25 m turn radius also support composed, longer turns when snow firms up.How does the Black Crows Corvus compare with a narrower all-mountain ski?
The Corvus is more oriented toward flotation and stability in soft snow and big-mountain terrain than quick edge-to-edge transitions on groomers. Its poplar-and-beech core, titanal plate underfoot, and solid flex underfoot favor power and edge hold, while progressive tip-and-tail flex helps it remain maneuverable in rough snow.Which bindings and boots work with the Black Crows Corvus Ski - 2027?
The ski is sold flat, so pair it with alpine or touring bindings suited to your intended use, with a brake width that accommodates its 110 mm waist. Match your boots to the binding type; alpine and touring setups are not interchangeable without adapters. How should I care for the Black Crows Corvus Ski - 2027?
Dry the ski after each outing, paying particular attention to the edges and binding area, and wax the base regularly. Keep the edges tuned for your snow conditions and store the ski clean and dry away from prolonged heat or direct sunlight.
