What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I brought the Whatever Snowboard to the mountain planning on park laps and ended up chasing groomers after lunch, and it handled the shift without any complaints. The directional twin shape gave me a stable platform up front while still feeling loose enough underfoot for switch landings."
Bataleon built the Whatever Snowboard for the rider who doesn't want to plan the day around the board, the one who wants park laps in the morning and groomers after lunch without swapping decks. We strap in without a second thought, let the medium camber settle into an easy rhythm, and just start riding.
The Light Core blends Poplar and Paulownia for a lively, dependable feel, while carbon stringers and dual Super Tubes add pop that shows up right when we need it off a lip or a rail. FlexWalls construction with urethane dampening smooths out the chatter on firmer snow, and the directional twin shape with SideKick technology keeps the nose floating if the morning happens to deliver first tracks.

Twenty Years of Snowboard Progression
For over two decades, Bataleon has pushed snowboard design forward with patented 3BT™ shaping and rider-driven innovation. From park laps to powder lines, Bataleon builds boards and apparel designed to keep snowboarding fun, stylish, and progressing every day.

Phantom Glide By DPS Skis
This snowboard is compatible with Phantom Glide, the long-lasting base treatment from DPS Skis. Backcountry technicians apply and UV-cure it before the board ships, so it arrives ready to ride with no waxing needed.
How It Works

Applied By Backcountry Techs
Backcountry technicians treat and UV-cure every board in the shop before it leaves the warehouse, so it arrives ready to ride with no setup required.

Glide That Outlasts Wax
Wax sits on top of the base and wears off in a few days. Phantom Glide bonds into the base, so glide stays fast and consistent from cold powder to spring slush.

No More Wax Days
Phantom Glide replaces scraping, ironing, and shop visits with a quick base cleaning using the Phantom Glide Base Care Kit. The formula is made without PFAS.

Frequently Asked Questions
How should I choose a size and binding setup for the Bataleon Whatever Snowboard?
Choose board length using the size chart, prioritizing rider weight and then accounting for riding style and boot size. Match snowboard bindings to your boots and the board’s mounting system, and consider a wide option if your boots need more room to reduce toe and heel drag.Where does the Bataleon Whatever perform best across the mountain?
The Whatever is built for all-mountain riding, from groomers and side hits to variable terrain and moderate off-piste laps. Its camber, medium profile, 3BT and Sidekick balance edge-to-edge response with added uplift in the nose for softer snow. How does the Bataleon Whatever compare with a park-focused or freeride snowboard?
Its medium flex and all-mountain shape offer a middle ground: more support for varied terrain than a soft park-focused board, while feeling more maneuverable and playful than a stiff freeride board. The camber and 3D shaping support a mix of groomer laps, side hits and softer snow. How should I set up bindings on the Bataleon Whatever?
Set your stance and binding angles to suit your riding style, then mount compatible snowboard bindings using the board’s insert pattern. Center your boots over the edges to help balance toe-side and heel-side turns; the Whatever is a conventional snowboard, not a splitboard touring setup. How should I care for the Bataleon Whatever after riding?
Dry the board, especially its edges and binding area, before storing it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Wax the base as riding and snow conditions call for, maintain the edges with suitable snowboard tools, and inspect the base, edges, inserts and sidewalls before heading out.
