Excellent Starter Watch
Great watch, showed it off to everyone as soon as it came in. Relatively inexpensive, very intuitive layout and customizable interface. Can track a wide variety of activities, which is great because I run, bike, hike, and swim. It's definitely a motivator and acted as a sort of catalyst for my active lifestyle. I get a lot more excited about going on a run or going out, whatever. I rely a lot on the heart rate data to gauge where my effort levels are. And the alarm feature + long battery life is very useful when backpacking. My only complaints: step counter is very inaccurate, I think. If the watch isn't positioned right, there will be gaps in your heart rate tracking. And if you sweat enough the watch can get rather slippy on your arm. None of these issues have really affected me too much. I'm still really enthused about owning this watch. Plus the name is fun. Wahoo! Everyone loves it. If you're wondering, you can't download and listen to music using this watch, but you can pause/skip etc. music playing from your phone if it is nearby. So if that is something that is important to you, you'll have to keep looking or get another device for that. I don't run with music most of the time though. I overall recommend.

Good watch.
I am pleased with the watch so far. It does everything I need it to do. The heart rate sensor is very accurate. It displays on my bike computer with very limited interruption. My only ( very minor) dissatisfaction is that I can't get the text message alerts to work.

Early survey
My son just set my Wahoo Element today. So far I like what I see.

Nice addition to the Elemnt line.
I'm a single sports guy and prefer that my Rival remain in Walking mode rather trying to go into Multisport/Cycling after my walk. I raced a bike for 43 years on the USACycling circuit and am a big fan of the Wahoo Elemnt Bolt. But now I'm over all that and while I first used the Bolt for my walks, I prefer the Rival because I can wear it like a watch. Just wish I can find a way to turn off the Multisport Transition mode

Battery died / not as advertised.
I purchased this watch specifically for a 100K I was running for the battery life. It died 14 hours in on a full charge. Dissapointed.

First one!
So I use this device for Tennis mainly and it replaces an Apple Watch Series 4. I have noticed that the heart rate measurement tends to be less accurate. don’t have any scientific test for this, but sometimes I look down and there’s no measurements for the heart rate and at times when I use it in conjunction with my Rome, I won’t see a heart rate listed either. But otherwise the battery life is outstanding and it’s very light and ergonomic.

Not worth it
calories are wrong and step count is way off. Battery life is great. Sleep is also a little inaccurate.

Great sport watch, very good
Great sport watch, very good quality. All positive review. Only a minor con, screen could be a little brighter. Still i would buy it and recommended to anyone.

Love the watch and its functionality. It struggles, at times, to get the GPS engaged when i look to start a run.

Just the watch I needed
I love my Rival watch, lightweight, great screen, excellent battery life and all the features I need. My only qualm is how it sometimes does not play nicely with my Elemnt Roam computer and I get double the information for the same activity.
