Cool Looking, But Unworthy.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

These are very sharp looking, cool hiking shoes. However, there are some problems with them: the shoes are 1/2 a size too big, but I was able to fit in them with thick, heavy socks, the tongue does not stay in place and slips down towards my toes (I have to untie and pull them up often), and the shoe lace mechanism does not stay locked, thus my shoes are always loose. Overall, I am very disappointed with the quality and the defects. I will need to purchase other suitable shoes.

Narrow toe box
Shoe has narrow toe box. I returned them. I just had to look at them. Pictures were not show narrow toe box.

Soloman ruined these

Don’t buy these if you’ve worn the older versions before. They are miserable and I regret buying them. Older versions I’ve had were broken in on the first wear. They were solid and comfortable. I bought my first paid in 2014 and loved them. These? They hurt your feet, feel terrible and cheap and are a waste of money. Also, Backcountry is a joke now too. The coupon they have doesn’t work on anything. Shop elsewhere.

Comfy out of the box
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

I've been wearing these for about a month now, and overall I am quite happy with the shoe. They were comfortable right out of the box, and fit true to size. I like the soles, which provide lots of grip when needed. The padded tongue is good, although it does tend to shift to one side. The thing I like the least is the lacing system. I don't like the thin laces with the toggle, as they doesn't stay tightened, and despite the little pocket for storage, the lace end tends to escape. If these came with traditional tie up laces, they'd be perfect. Waterproof quality is good, and I've have no issues with wet feet. Overall, a fantastic shoe; just the lacing system is a bit off-putting for me.

Size 1/2 down
My entire adult life I’ve worn 7.5 in shoes and boots. This pair is both too long, too wide, and unreturnable. I’ve added an extra set of insoles and have to cinch up the laces as far as they go. Unfortunately, the laces keeps sliding because they’re slippery and the cinch doesn’t hold. Otherwise they’re pretty comfortable.

Great shoe
I bought this a few weeks ago and wear it primarily for extended trail walks with my dog. The shoes give excellent stability, grip, and are comfortable, albeit they may be a little stiff for the first couple uses. The rapid lace system is very convenient and they look great. I have narrow feet, wear EU 39 in regular shoes, and ordered US8/EUR40 because I prefer a little extra toe room in runners. They fit me perfectly.

Love These
These are pretty, comfortable and sturdy. I will buy another pair next spring. I have the all grey pair too(without the coral).

Great shoes for hiking
the sizing is really accurate and they're comfortable, I didn't even need to break them in first.

Amazing!
These are absolutely amazing. I wanted a pair of shoes less aggressive than the Crosstrek for hiking, especially during the very rainy seasons we have here in the PNW. Me feet are dry, the shoes are really comfy, definitely heavier than the Crosstrek but you get used to it and within one day you forget about it. Nice cushion and grip and they're also freaking good looking! I usually am a 8.5 for other shoes (in between 8.5/9) and the size 8 is perfect. Easy to tie up and stays in place. Anyways - I could go on for a while. These are great. I can not assess of the durability yet since it's been a week of daily use only, but so far so good. Will report back in a year but most shoes at Salomon have always lasted ages for me.

Very comfortable and nice looking
When I opened these I was surprise at how good looking they were. When I ordered them I thought they were a bit ugly but I liked med the features, especially the lateral support. have bunions and am 5 months out from knee surgery and have had a hard finding shoes that fit. I have sent back several pairs of shoes with the super thick soles because they pinched my bunion or did not have enough arch support. These felt perfect when I first slipped them on. I have been trail walking a mile or 2 a day. These are comfortable, supportive, and have great traction. I would definitely buy them again.
