Ultimate Sports Mom Jacket
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Large
I bought this to replace my DKNY puffy jacket. I’m a soccer mom, baseball mom, cheer mom… you get it. Lots of sideline sports. This jacket is an absolute sports mom’s dream! It’s light but extra warm and cozy. It’s water resistant, so even when it rains I am dry. It does run big, so size down or go with your regular size and have more room for layers.

LOVE IT!
Beautiful Jacket. Well made. Love how it can come up around the neck and that the side unzip

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
This jacket is by far the ski mom, stand at the bottom of the race coral for hours in freezing cold and windy winter weather jacket. It's so warm and cozy, the neck and hood keep all the blusteries out, love the harbor colour. Fits true to size with room to have a cute base layer and apres suitable sweater underneath. I wish I had this jacket years ago. I have received several compliments at all of the kiddos alpine ski races

Great cozy coat
Roomy and cozy, love the high insulated collar so you don't need a scarf, and one big plus over my old down coat is no feather shedding! Love the color, and the length is perfect. Long enough to cover my legs when I sit but doesn't impede walking at all - great purchase!

Material collects a lot of hair.
I really wanted to love this coat. It had everything I was looking for; wrist gaiters, large internal drop pocket (for hats or gloves when inside), length, warmth, cozy baffled neck. But the material was an unfortunate deal breaker! It's this matte rough material that picks up every dog hair or piece of lint. With how long it is, hanging around the legs, it's a whole lot of coat that picks up hair. I wanted it to walk the dog in winter or just on really cold days in the Midwest but it's not really a grab and go jacket and it can't just be left in my not-so-clean car. I'd have to spend time lint rolling every time I wanted to use it. So for me it's just not a realistic piece of outerwear for my lifestyle. I tried hard to like it. I even ordered 4 more coats to compare to (Marmot Montreaux, Marmot Prospect, Patagonia Jackson Glacier, Mountain Hardwear Stretchdown Long Parka). I ended up keeping the MH Stretchdown Parka. Same style, still warm, better material. I will say that this Coze Down was the warmest of all of them and really good value for how warm it is. If they change the material I'd purchase it!

So happy with this jacket!
This jacket is the perfect length and has the right amount of room for layering. I was going to go with the medium because I wanted the extra room for sweaters, however, I decided on the small after reading reviews and I'm glad I did. The jacket fits slightly oversized (in a good way). I am 5'5 and 140lbs for reference, and this jacket fits very well. It was so warm during a trip I had to Montreal when the nights were feeling like -17C. I am very pleased with this purchase. My only critique would be for a little more wind and rain proofing. If the jacket had these features, I would consider it the perfect winter jacket!

What's up with the hood?
I'm surprised a company like OR didn't find a batter design for a hood. It's bulky and doesn't fit well. Hard to adjust it. And it's huge and can't be zipped off. A disappointment given the high price and otherwise nice coat.

Incredible Winter Parka
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- M
- Height:
- 5' 2"
- Weight:
- 130
I've been wanting to get a longer winter jacket and decided to pull the trigger on this. WOW. It's an amazing winter parka. I call it my "sleeping bag". So warm, and the long length makes all the difference. I decided to get a larger size than I would normally wear to allow for chunky fit sweaters or other layers underneath. I don't like to zip up my jacket, so I wanted a larger size that I could easily wrap around myself. My only complaint is that the hood is pretty big and isn't removable. The draft collar keeps me super toasty. I also love the side zippers on the bottom for better mobility, like walking up stairs or driving. I'm pretty short, so the coat hits about mid calf, but I love the extra coverage.

Cozy and warm!
I love this coat. It's so toasty that it's almost too warm! I bought it for a trip to Steamboat. It's perfect for truly cold days. I would recommend getting a different color than black. The fabric really attracts dust and pet hair so it always looks dirty. I think this would be less of an issue with the blue color.

A 5-star Parka
My sister recommended the coat I purchased. We live in MN and experience very cold, windy winter days. The coat is well-made. I can tell a lot of thought went into the design and extras features; like the extra tall collar, the large hood and zippered side vents for driving. I highly recommend the long, women's down coat.
