A great all-around wash for athletic clothing

If you're like me, you spend a lot on high-quality outdoor clothing, and spend a lot of time in that clothing training. This is my go-to for washing just about everything related to training, except DWR treated items and down outerwear. This does a great job of removing the stink and keeping technical wicking clothing doing what it should.

I love to use this to wash baselayers and smelly gym clothes. My first purchase I got a small bottle, but I use it so much igot a big bottle this time.

Solid Workhorse for Active Wear and Base Layers

Got a 300mL bottle to try with an assortment of gym clothes (including Dri-FIT & UA), riding breeches and synthetic base layers. Thanks to having at least one ancestor that was a Wookie, I am a hairy, sweaty beast. As a result, this usually means that my gym & sports clothing don't smell great by the time they get home. I'm happy to report that this base wash does a stand-up job of exorcising these odors and keeping them fresh and maintaining their moisture-wicking and quick-dry properties. Once this ran dry, I picked up a 1L as this has become a staple for these garments.

This stuff is great for cleaning that seasonal base layer gear. it works as intended and directed and seems to do the trick for the years I have been washing my base layers with this wash. the only "issue" I have with all the Nikwax products is the load ratio (i.e. max 6 items per load, etc.) with an active family and lots of base layers to wash, I can go through this product quickly. you wont be dissappointed.

Works great with SmartWool products. I was the driest man on the mountains today.

Great cleaner

The base wash got rid of all the soil and contaminants in my snow shell and brought back the water repellant nature of my coat, eliminating the need to use additional products.

This is a great product for cleaning your waterproof ski outerwear. I only wash my shells a few times a season, but they came out noticeably cleaner.

Great product that should be offered in even larger quantities

I love and swear by Nikwax products to keep my outdoor apparel in top condition throughout the seasons. Basewash is my favorite synthetic garment washing detergent, but it's too costly to use in my weekly laundry routines.

Base Wash

Works great on my dry-fit shirts. Removes odors and keeps my shirts smelling fresh.

A Must-Have

I don't think I've worn cotton socks in over 8 years. Most of the skivvies I wear are also merino or technical ones from IceBreaker, OR, or Patagonia. I use the base wash for my skivvies & socks loads while I still use the normal Tide stuff for shirts and pants. It works great for those items that are designed to wick and stay soft. I'm not sure what the aroma is supposed to be, but after all these years it's just associated with fresh clothes.
