Trailcross Mid Pro Mountain Bike Shoe
Designed with adventurous trail riding in mind, these shoes blend a lightweight yet durable hiking-friendly build with a grippy Stealth rubber outsole that provides positive traction on flat pedals. The result is a shoe that's equally at home on or off the bike, making it a great option for bikepacking trips in the desert, adventurous trail rides in unfamiliar mountain terrain, and trail building. This mid-top version adds some additional protection to the mix thanks to D3O inserts on the collar that absorb the shock from impacts, along with a neoprene cuff that keeps mud, muck, and debris from entering the shoe.

Painful and expensive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No vision in soles, ankle support/neoprene sock is very uncomfortable for me. This shoe my be great for others, but I find it quite uncomfortable.

Comfort on and off the bike
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 11.5 US
Bought these boots as a cool weather shoe for extended trail riding. I added my favorite insole and these boots are very comfortable riding and walking. The uppers have a stiffness that, for me, gives a very secure and supportive feel. The khaki/green color looks good even if dusty. I call these “true to size” at my usual 11.5 US, but they are also labeled 46 EU where I usually wear 47. A very good cycling boot! I’m still looking for perfect?

Narrow
The inner sock is super narrow and the over all show is so narrow I could not get my foot IN the shoe. Had to send them back. Was looking forward to these for the ankle support and protection. Too bad!

Great supportive design.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only one long ride with these so far but after a bit of break in they felt great. They stick to the pedals like Velcro! The soles have the right amount stiffness to feel supportive on the pedals. Plenty of grip for the hike-a-bike moments. I can't speak to durability yet but I can't wait to put a ton of rides on these.

Good selection for moderately difficult cycling.
good snug but comfortable fit. A little hard to get into with sock liner, but sock holds the shoe firmly in place.

Well made and comfy shoes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have winter here in the PNW. Not like Chicago. We do have occasional 6 degree mornings, I started a ride last year at 19 degrees. Some snow. I’m using these shoes and they are comfy, make good contact with the pedals and are comfy. I can walk in them. I have to be careful where I put my feet because they do not slide around and can put pressure on my knees. Try them
